BET did not let up with this years show with outstanding performances from Kanye West, B.oB with Keyshia Cole and Eminem, and superb and emotional tribute to Michael Jackson from Chris Brown who cried on stage and got a Standing O. A pyro filled show stopper from Diddy and a awesome tribute to Prince. One of the best shows we seen from BET in years.

Artist: The Like
The Like were formed in September 2001 by Elizabeth “Z” Berg Charlotte Froom and Tennessee Thomas at the ages of 15, 15 and 16 . All three are daughters of music industry veterans; Berg’s father is former Geffen Records A&R exec/record producer Tony Berg, Froom’s father is producer Mitchell Froom and Thomas’ father is Pete Thomas, longtime drummer for Elvis Costello. From childhood, Froom, Berg and Thomas were immersed in classic rock, and all three took piano lessons before teaching themselves their current instruments. The name comes from a habit that the girls, as many do, have of saying “like” all the time. Thomas’ mother suggested the name and it stuck
The Like released their first album, Are You Thinking What I’m Thinking?, through Geffen on September 13, 2005. The album is a combination of reworked songs previously released on their independent EPs as well as new material. The reviews were generally positive. Krissi Murison of the NME had praise for such songs as “June Gloom” and “(So I’ll Sit Here) Waiting”, but criticized the “over-polished approach” of producer Wendy Melvoin.
On September 17, 2009, the band posted a message entitled “The Like 2.0″ on their MySpace blog. The message announced a new lineup: founding members Berg and Thomas, plus new members Reni Lane and Laena Geronimo. They toured with Arctic Monkeys in September and October 2009.
The Like’s second album, Release Me, was released on June 15, 2010 on Downtown Records.

Slipknot bassist Paul Gray — one of the group’s founding members — was found dead in an Iowa hotel room early Monday morning (May 24), according to reports. He was 38.
The Des Moines Register reported that police were called to the TownePlace Suites hotel in Urbandale, Iowa, shortly before 11 a.m. after an employee discovered Gray’s body in a room. There was no evidence of foul play, police told the newspaper, but the investigation is ongoing and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday. A toxicology test will also be done to determine any contributing factors to his death.
A spokesperson for Slipknot’s label, Roadrunner Records, confirmed the report to MTV News.
Gray, better known as #2 or “The Pig” because of the mask he wore while performing with Slipknot, helped form the group in 1995, along with current members Shawn “Clown” Crahan and Joey Jordison. Though the band’s lineup shifted over the years — with members departing or switching instruments — Gray’s position within the group remained constant: He was the only bass player Slipknot ever had.
The group would release four albums, the last of which — 2008′s All Hope Is Gone — debuted at #1 on the Billboard albums chart. They spent most of the next year touring the world before taking an extended break at the end of 2009. Earlier this year, Gray announced that he would be using the time off to play with hard-riffing supergroup Hail!, featuring Tim “Ripper” Owens, Megadeth’s David Ellefson and Sepultura’s Andreas Kisser.
It was announced on his MySpace page this year that he was expecting a child with his wife Brenna. Life looked on the up for Paul.
While currently under investigation, preliminary reports from a source at the scene indicate a drug overdose.
Paul will be missed.

It’s about Genocide. This is making a statement this is close to me, since the man I love the most is a red head. I’m not going to show him this video but he might see it on his own. It struck me and moved me in a way, where I now see what people really go through in a genocide. Such as The Holocaust, Rwanda and Sudan. After the Holocaust people said “Never Again” but Rwanda and Daufar happened and on one seems to bat an eye. Get to know history kids. We may love this pop stuff but there stuff going on more important. Something like this could happen, shall another evil Hitler like monster gets power and no one stands up against him. So I say this video has made a impact already on me, with in moments of seeing.
……………………………GET INVOLVED PEOPLE GET INVOLVED
The Poison singer was rushed to the hospital Thursday night with an excruciating headache that turned out to be massive brain hemorrhage, his reps confirmed.
The 47-year-old remains in intensive care under 24-hour observation and will undergo further testing to locate the source of the bleeding, his tour manager wrote in the latest posting on his website BretMichaels.com.
“Please remember Bret is, and always has been, a fighter and survivor and is under the best medical care possible,” manager Janna Elias wrote.
On Sunday, Elias posted news that Michaels was suffering from slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness but the hope was that he’d make a full recovery.
She later deleted the description of his symptoms but promised an update from doctors soon. Reps have not revealed where the rocker is being treated.
Dad Wally Sychak told the Daily News Friday that his son had stabilized but wasn’t out of the woods.
“I’m certainly worried,” Sychak said. “It’s not a minor thing.”
Michaels appeared in a taped episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC Sunday night, and the show paid tribute to the ailing singer with a slow-motion video and voiceover that saying, “Everyone here at NBC wishes Bret Michaels a speedy recovery.”

I’m Loving this Avril track her voice sound like it has grown since we last herd her on her lackluster 2007 album The Best Damed Thing. I’m really looking forward to her new one coming out this year. I’m also excited to hear the songs from Kerli she really innovative and with the theme of Alice it has to be unusual and excellent.

This telethon was truly touching. I have not a dime to give since i have donated all of my money earlier this week. But i saw the generosity of mankind come through for the Haitian People. These people have lost everything bit they still have God in their hearts. So may we bless them with hope of a better tomorrow.
