It’s about Genocide. This is making a statement this is close to me, since the man I love the most is a red head. I’m not going to show him this video but he might see it on his own. It struck me and moved me in a way, where I now see what people really go through in a genocide. Such as The Holocaust, Rwanda and Sudan. After the Holocaust people said “Never Again” but Rwanda and Daufar happened and on one seems to bat an eye. Get to know history kids. Barack Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize
Shockingly Presidant Obama has won the nobel peace prize and not everyone is happy early this mourning Obama daughter Mailia Told her dad he had won. Obama says he is surpized and humbled. Former Presidential Nominee John McCain say they think the award was given on expectations.
Michael Steele, chairman of the Republican National Committee, said: “The real question Americans are asking is, ‘what has President Obama actually accomplished?’
“The president will not will be receiving any awards from Americans for job creation, fiscal responsibility or backing up rhetoric with concrete action.”
Dana Allin, a senior fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, said: “Even for people who are generally supportive of Obama and what he is trying to achieve, this is going to be very easily parodied.”
World reaction brought both praise and condemnation. Mohamed ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency and a Nobel laureate, said Mr Obama had provided outstanding leadership in the effort to prevent nuclear proliferation.
“In less than a year in office, he has transformed the way we look at ourselves and the world we live in and rekindled hope for a world at peace with itself,” he said.
Obama Is the third sitting president to win. He says he will donate the 1 million dollars that comes with the award to charity .

Senator Ted Has Died At Age 77
Ted Kennedy , the last of the storied band of brothers whose triumphs and tragedies dominated a generation of American politics, has died after losing a battle with brain cancer.
The “liberal lion” of the Senate, who was once tipped to succeed his assassinated elder brother John F. Kennedy as president, died late Tuesday at his home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts after losing a year-long battle with cancer. He was 77.
“We’ve lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever,” the Kennedy family said in a statement.
Laura Ling And Euna Lee Pardon from North Korea, Soon To Be Released From Jail
Laura Ling and Euna Lee have been pardoned by leader Kim Jong Il, in North Korea, from all charges.
Former president Bill Clinton made a special trip to North Korea this week to meet with the North Korean leader in hopes to get Ling and Lee released.
Clinton offered “words of sincere apology” to the leader.
Kim Jong Il issued a special pardon, under North Korea’s “humanitarian and peaceloving policy.” according to the AP
There is already some concern over the exchanges that was made in order for this to happen. Some are worried Clinton’s visit to North Korea may be used a a political pun for Il showing that North Korea is powerful and that America is condoning Korea’s bad behavoir.

Sonia Sotomayor, President Obama’s choice for the U.S. Supreme Court, started her path toward the highest court in the land in a South Bronx housing project. She Is the first hispanic nominee in history and if elected she will be the 3rd woman ever on the U.S Supreme court.
The daughter of Puerto Rican parents who came to New York City during World War II, Sotomayor worked her way through the white-dominated spheres of Princeton University, Yale Law School, the Manhattan district attorney’s office, a corporate law firm, and the federal bench.

Barack Obama Is Time’s Person Of the Year
President Elect Barack Obama was named Time Magazine’s person of the year the 47 year is to become the first African American president of the united states. So it comes to no shock that he would be the person of the year
Time’s managing editor Richard Stengel said the magazine picked Obama for his constant presence in news coverage throughout the year, and for being elected president at a “periolous” and “critical” time in American history.
Obama “energized Americans in a way that we haven’t seen in a long time,” Stengel said on CNN today.
Illinois Governor Rod R. Blagojevich Arrested Corruption
Illinois Governor Rod R. Blagojevich has been arrested for corruption Allegedly for trying to sell President elect Barack Obama’s position for the Senate in Illinois. In a confernce today Barack Obama stated along with Vice President elect Joe Biden and former Vice President Al Gore said “it was a sad day for Illinois and that he was sadden and sobberd by the allegation and that he had no contact with Mr Blagojevich or had any knolwlage to his abuse of power”
51 yearr old, 2 term Governor Rod Blagojevich was in a Chicago courtroom today to face one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and one count of solicitation of bribery.
“He attempted to sell a senate seat, the senate seat he had the sole right to under Illinois to appoint to replace President-Elect Obama.”
Blagojevich’s chief of staff John Harris was also named in the criminal complaint. Numerous court ordered FBI wire taps, first publicly disclosed last Friday, culminated a wider anging 5 year corruption investigation of the Blagojevich administraiton just yesterday the governor defiantly professed innocence.
“Whether you tape me privately or publicly, I can tell you that whatever I say is always lawful and the things I’m interested in are always lawful.”
The 76 page complaint alleges widespread corruption.
On nov 3, before the presidential election the FBI says it recorded the governor brazenly boasting that his authority to fill the senate seat saying quote,
“Is a “bleeping” valuable thing, you don’t just give it away for nothing”
Court documents suggest the governor was mulling 7 candidates for the vacant senate seat based on who’d create the biggest payoff. The FBI says on October 31 it recorded him saying,
“I’m going to keep this senate option for me a real possibility, you know, and therefore I can drive a hard bargain. you hear what i’m saying. And if I don’t get what I want, I’m not satisfied with it, then I’ll just take the senate seat for myself.”
On November 3rd the FBI says it recorded the governor saying a bribe was offered.
“We were approached ‘pay to play.’ That you know he’d raise 500 grand. An emmisarry came. Then the other guy would raise a million if I made him (sen candidate #5) a senator.”
The day after Obama won the election, the FBI says it recorded the governor sounding even more determined to cash in on his power to fill the open seat.
“I’ve got this thing and its (bleeping) golden. i’m just not giving it up for (bleeping) nothing.”
According to the 76 page indictment, at various times he said he wanted
1) a substantial salary for himself at either a non profit or an org affiliated with labor unions,
2) a position for his wife on a corp board where she could make as much as 150 grand a yearr,
3)promises of campaign funds, including cash up front.
4) a cabinet post–specifically, health and human services secretary– or an ambassadorship.
Prosecutors say in the last month Blagojevich also accelerated an array of other corrupt fundraising activities in an attempt to raise 2.5 million in contributions from companies with state contracts before the new year when new tougher Illinois corp fundraising laws kick in.
Hillary Clinton Acepts Barack’s Off to be Secretary Of State
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has decided to accept the role of secretary of State, according to several published reports.
The reports, if confirmed, mean that Clinton will relinquish her Senate seat from New York to become the nation’s top diplomat in an administration led by her former rival Obama
Obama asked the former first lady and runner-up for the Democratic presidential nomination to fill the role last week. Since then, she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton have undergone intense vetting.
Hillary Clinton made her foreign policy experience a selling point during the primaries, telling crowds that as first lady she visited 80 countries. During the battle for the Democratic nomination, she and her husband often criticized Obama for lacking the foreign policy credentials necessary to be president. Remember “Ready from Day One”?
But after Obama clinched the nomination, Clinton campaigned hard for him. She allegedly made Obama’s short list for vice president but lost out to Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware.
Clinton would become only the third woman in U.S. history to hold that post, after Condoleezza Rice and Madeleine Albright.

Introducing The First African American President of the United States Barack Obama
Barack Obama was raised by a single mother and his grandparents. They didn’t have much money, but they taught him values from the Kansas heartland where they grew up. He took out loans to put himself through school. After college, he worked for Christian churches in Chicago, helping communities devastated when steel plants closed.
Obama turned down lucrative job offers after law school to return to Chicago, leading a successful voter registration drive. He joined a small law firm, taught constitutional law and, guided by his Christian faith, stayed active in his community. Obama and his wife Michelle are proud parents of two daughters, Sasha and Malia.
Early Years
Barack Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. His father, Barack Obama Sr., was born and raised in a small village in Kenya, where he grew up herding goats with his own father, who was a domestic servant to the British.
Barack’s mother, Ann Dunham, grew up in small-town Kansas. Her father worked on oil rigs during the Depression, and then signed up for World War II after Pearl Harbor, where he marched across Europe in Patton’s army. Her mother went to work on a bomber assembly line, and after the war, they studied on the G.I. Bill, bought a house through the Federal Housing Program, and moved west to Hawaii.
It was there, at the University of Hawaii, where Barack’s parents met. His mother was a student there, and his father had won a scholarship that allowed him to leave Kenya and pursue his dreams in America.
Barack’s father eventually returned to Kenya, and Barack grew up with his mother in Hawaii, and for a few years in Indonesia. Later, he moved to New York, where he graduated from Columbia University in 1983.
The College Years
Remembering the values of empathy and service that his mother taught him, Barack put law school and corporate life on hold after college and moved to Chicago in 1985, where he became a community organizer with a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods plagued with crime and high unemployment.
The group had some success, but Barack had come to realize that in order to truly improve the lives of people in that community and other communities, it would take not just a change at the local level, but a change in our laws and in our politics.
He went on to earn his law degree from Harvard in 1991, where he became the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. Soon after, he returned to Chicago to practice as a civil rights lawyer and teach constitutional law. Finally, his advocacy work led him to run for the Illinois State Senate, where he served for eight years. In 2004, he became the third African American since Reconstruction to be elected to the U.S. Senate.
Political Career
It has been the rich and varied experiences of Barack Obama’s life – growing up in different places with people who had differing ideas – that have animated his political journey. Amid the partisanship and bickering of today’s public debate, he still believes in the ability to unite people around a politics of purpose – a politics that puts solving the challenges of everyday Americans ahead of partisan calculation and political gain.
In the Illinois State Senate, this meant working with both Democrats and Republicans to help working families get ahead by creating programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit, which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state. He also pushed through an expansion of early childhood education, and after a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama worked with law enforcement officials to require the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases.
In the U.S. Senate, he has focused on tackling the challenges of a globalized, 21st century world with fresh thinking and a politics that no longer settles for the lowest common denominator. His first law was passed with Republican Tom Coburn, a measure to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how and where every dime of their tax dollars is spent. He has also been the lead voice in championing ethics reform that would root out Jack Abramoff-style corruption in Congress.
As a member of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Senator Obama has fought to help Illinois veterans get the disability pay they were promised, while working to prepare the VA for the return of the thousands of veterans who will need care after Iraq and Afghanistan. Recognizing the terrorist threat posed by weapons of mass destruction, he traveled to Russia with Republican Dick Lugar to begin a new generation of non-proliferation efforts designed to find and secure deadly weapons around the world. And knowing the threat we face to our economy and our security from America’s addiction to oil, he’s working to bring auto companies, unions, farmers, businesses and politicians of both parties together to promote the greater use of alternative fuels and higher fuel standards in our cars.
Whether it’s the poverty exposed by Katrina, the genocide in Darfur, or the role of faith in our politics, Barack Obama continues to speak out on the issues that will define America in the 21st century. But above all his accomplishments and experiences, he is most proud and grateful for his family. His wife, Michelle, and his two daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, live on Chicago’s South Side.
