Pleasure P Accused Of Child Molestation

former pretty ricky singer pleasure P now a succsful soslo artist has accuations of pedophilia.

The incident happened in 2004 going into 2005. He served like 8 months, rehab and community service by time the trial came up. Marcus accepted a plea with the State of Florida and Joseph Smith who is the care giver of the niece and nephew which Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper molested. These are not the only papers filed against him. These are the first of 3. As part of the plea agreement Marcus plead guilty and paid an “undisclosed amount” to remain free and have the records “sealed” and on the family level for them to remain quiet and not to speak publicly about it. The “sealed document” means nothing other than “we won’t tell anyone it’s here..but if they find it they can have it” basically. The problem also is that Attorney Goldstein (Who represented Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper in the trial) has a daughter named Laura Goldstein who is also her fathers assistant. Marcus Cooper never completed his payments after the hearing to his attorney.

The problem also is that Attorney Goldstein (Who represented Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper in the trial) has a daughter named Laura Goldstein who is also her fathers assistant. Marcus Cooper never completed his payments after the hearing to his attorney.

Attorney Goldstein tried to reach out to Marcus only to be told “Don’t call this phone no more” on several occasions. This caused frustration on Attorney Goldstein’s ends due to the time & effort he put into this “special plea bargain” he negotiated that I don’t think ANY attorney could have done. After Attorney Goldstein threatened to sue Marcus Cooper the “alleged threats” became real from Coopers end. I have personally heard these messages and I know who they are from and they are very disturbing. Especially to an attorney who can use them against you.

Laura Goldstein felt her father was not doing enough to stop the threats as they began to increase so she took to twitter (her twitter is @AGoldsteinGirl) to “expose” Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper in a way that was sure to make him “go away”. Now all the documents from the initial hearing have been released and there is plenty more evidence out there I assure you. Everyone involved including Spectacular (Pretty Ricky) have commented via twitter on the documents in shock thinking they would never get out.

The next problem is whether Laura Goldsteins father will have to pay the ultimate price of getting disbarred for breaking Attorney Client Privilege or will it be deemed public domain? I don’t know, but I do know both parties and its about to get ugly. I will keep you up to speed if anything else jumps off.

Rihanna -Rated R (Rap Radar Album Review)

rihanna-rated-r-album-cover_410x406

Rap Radar was part of a handful critics to listen to the new Rihanna album and gave it a positive review. I’ll review the album when it fully leaks which properly be soon.

Mad House

Intro interlude. Slow plodding. Brief. No lyrics. Dark. Sets tone for record which is really cohesive.

Wait Your Turn

Sounds good through L.A.’s speakers.

Hard

Sounds really good through L.A.’s speakers.

Stupid In Love

Wonder who this one’s about? Finger snapping groove. Mid-tempo. First verse, she goes “Don’t treat me like I’m stupid”. 2nd verse something about her being an idiot. Her friends have told her he is not one. 3rd verse, she talks about him “actin’ like a jerk”. Something about a “dunce cap”. Hook goes: “I may be young but I’m not stupid. I’m not stupid in love”.

Russian Roulette

Can’t believe some of y’all are still frontin’ on this.

Rockstar

Features Slash on guitar. “I told you baby”. She’s in full swag mode. Talkin’ about clothes she’s rockin’. She’s at a party with her girls and everyone’s clockin’. Got her “middle finger up”. She talks about the “big city. bright lights”. All she’s “missing is a guitar”? She’s a shit talkin’, six-inch heel wearer. Something about bra and panties. Hook goes: “Baby, I’m a rock star. Hey baby, I’m a rock star”.

Fire Bomb

First joint I’m not feelin’. This one actually has heavier guitars and more of a rock element than “Rockstar”. Heavy car metaphor throughout. There’s references to “lovers need to clear the road” and “where we’re goin’ we don’t need no breaks”. Ambulance talk. Gasoline. Revved up engines. One big flat tire if you ask me.

Rude Boy

Back to the fun Ri-Ri. She’s out on the town lookin’ for a new man. A rude boy who can “take it, take it”. Slightly different vocal tone in first verse. “Giddy up. Give it to me baby. Give it to me harder. Buckle up.” Yup a lot of car references. “I like the way you pull my hair”. Woah. Ok, I’m blushin’. Think she says “muthafuckin’”. Really potty mouth on this disc. She’s such a fuckin’ lady.

Photographs

A true collabo with Will.i.Am about missing past lovers. Hook goes: “All I got are these photographs. All I got is nothin’ without you”. Acoustic in the intro. Heavy bass. First verse she says, “It could’ve been you and me”. Drums kick in 2nd verse real BEP style. Will’s vocals come in on bridge addin’ a lil male perspective on the matter. He reminisces on he and a special lady on her “grandma’s sofa kissin’”. Ah, young love.

G4L

The title stands for “Gangsta For Life,” which takes a long time to reveal itself. This begins the real dramatic soap opera side of the CD. She sings about “guns in the air” . “I’m ready to roll”. “We don’t play that shit nigga”? Um, ok? Dramatic outro at end she purrs, “Revenge is sweet”.

Te Amo

Cute but cheesy. It’s real Mama Don’t Preach. “Don’t let love hurt you,” a wise woman warns her. She repeats the title plenty and often.

Cold Case Love

This is the Justin contribution. He does his best Timbaland impersonation with a overly-produced and arranged wall of electronic sounds. She’s on a “dark and burning road”. She’s most angry here. This is the big FU CB tune. “What you did to me wasn’t right?” Now that’s an understatement. “We lost in love”. Quality lyrics but too damn long.

The Last Song

I can’t stand this clunker. “Time to turn off the last song,” she keeps repeating. And I wish I coulda done just that. More wailing guitars. A bad ending to a good album.

Leona Lewis -Echo Album Review

leona+lewis

In 2007 leona Lewis released her debut album after winning 3rd season of the British singing competein show The X Factor. The album was a massive success spawing the hit singles “Bleeding Love” & “Better in Time”. It sold over 6 million copies world wide. Now she follows that with the release of Echo. Mariah Carey -Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel Album Review

mariah_carey_memoirs_of_an_imperfect_angel_album_cover

Mariah Carey returns with a bang. Memoirs is an imperfect album but with a lot of virtuosic charm. The first track Betcha Gon Know tells a story of a lover scorned and the warring of revenge. The Lyrics are prime and start the album out with high expectations the album ten takes different direction with the first single Obsessed a club banger which is not Mariah’s best but bags a punch that will satisfy you. Memoris has a natural flow you can listen to the whole album though and not get side tracked. H.A.T.E.U. is suburb the arrangement of the songs wriiten and produced by Tricky Stewart and The Dream who done the entire album is ecstasy just try and not to have this song on repeat it will be impossible Candy Bling may sound like a banger about having nice jewelry but is not it samples Ahmad 1994 hit back in the day and is a very slow groove.

Ribbon, Inseparable and Standing O are decent tracks Ribbon using the Houston famed chopped and screwed effect which makes the song stand out from the rest on the album. The Album comes to it’s climax on the exceptional track It’s A Wrap the best on the album period. It has a soulful spunk to it and is on her best songs to date. Up Out My Face a more upbeat track has Mariah telling a wack dude to get up out her face boy. Which I find to be stellar . More Than Just friends samples Nortorious B.I.G’s One More Chance. It’s a very reimbursable track a very tight song. The Impossible Angel’s Cry, Languishing and Mariah’s delightful version on Foreigner’s I Want To Know What Love Is leave the album on a solid note.

Overall Memoirs If a lot more solid effort than her 2008 release E=MC2

9/10

Whitney Houston -I Look To You (Album Review)

whitilty

After seven turbulent years since her last album Whitney Houston is back with I Look to You. Produced by her mentor the legendary Clive Davis. Whitney Voiced is introduced to a new sound and era in music.

Track by Tack Review

Million Dollar Bill Written and produced my songstress alicia keys and her Swizz beats is a a feel good song that stars out the album at a high ponit. 4/5

Nothing But Love Is about having love for people who were in whitney’s life. A very personal life from her family to her teacher and even the people who brought her down this is a very up lifting song. 4/5

Call You Tonight A very Smooth Love Song a indefiant hiighlight of the album. 5/5

I look to You The Titled song really doesn’t live up to being the heart of the album Whitney’s vocals shine through but this song is quite forgettable 2/5

Like I Never Left Which leaked a year ago is a nice anthem which features rapper akon is just ok at times nothing to speical about it. 3/5

A Song For You A ballad starts out slow then speeds up reminds me of the diva songs of the 90’s like CeCe Peniston’s “Finally”. It’s just an ok song but fans of “My Love Is Your Love” will enjoy this.3/5

I Didn’t Know My Own Strength Is A Very inspirational song thats drives the album away  from the previous lackluster tracks. One of the best on the album 4/5

Worth It An mid tempo love anthem a vet colorful song , but a little boring at times. 3/5

For The Lover The lyrics are very similar to the previous track Worth It. Both song are mentioned for to be for the lovers it’s a lot better than Worth It. 4/5

I Got You A Akon Produced track a little  more urban than most of the songs on this album. Nothing to soeaical about this song just plain. 3/5

Salute A Milestone of the album very refreshing and original. 5/5

Over all the album is not what i expected it’s very boring at times but some of the song are uplifting. somthing you might want to listen to after a bad day

Brandy -Human (Album Review)

humanbrandy

After four years out the limelight brandy gives us one of her most passionate most personal albums to date. The album Human comes a year after her accident in 2007 which left one woman dead and Brandy in a sham. She could not even get out of bed she felt so bad but she put her pain into her music and it shines. “True” is a soulful ballad that melts in your ears. Brandy wrote most of the songs her self along with a team of songwriters Darkchild, who produced most of her Never Say Never LP back in 1998 produced the lead single Right Here (Departed) ,The Definition and Camouflage. All three of the songs are nice tracks this album is not as heavy hitting as her 2004 release Aphrodisiac but human is just as good sometimes. PianoMan is one of the best songs on the album the chorus reads “we will have the whole world singing tonight” which will be the same thing when it comes to the song itself “Human” the madrigal title song which Brandy states she’s only Human is oh so ok. American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi who co-wrote “1st and Love” offers a nice slow ballad that just goes right over your head. “Fall” Which was co-written by Natasha Bedingfield is easy to listen to but isn’t that much special. Human lacks something but is somber enough to pass off as good, but would have been a lot better if Timbaland who was scheduled to have done tracks was on than it would be a hell of lot better. Brandy Fans will be singing the album late at night so I think she’s going to be good.

Sugababes -Catfights and Spotlights (Album Review)

After their rather mediocre album Change in 2007 Sugababes follow up Catfights and Spotlights is not so short from being the same. This the most mature album from the girls yet. The album mostly contains ballads, different from their brassy first single “Girls”. Standut songs are “Side Chick” and “Hanging On A Star” a more urban sound from most of the albums airy slow songs. The best song on Catfights has to be “Unbreakable Heart” a nice ballad with good vocals. There’s nothing really special on this album the group has not been good since Mutya Buena left in 2005 maybe she should come back and bring some spark back to the group. This just bland at it’s best.

Pink -FunHouse (Album Review)

After her suscessful return to the game in 2006 with the album I’m Not  Dead which spun the hits “Who Knew” and You and Ur Hand” Pink’s latest effort doesn’t quite live up to it’s name. While the titled Funhouse insinuates that we will get to see more of the fun spunky side of Pink as we did on the first single “So What. The rest of the songs on the album are quite slow and give off very little energy,  there are songs that show emotion like “Sober” and “I Don’t Believe You” but this is not Pink’s best and Is quite a disappointment. I really wanted to like this album but so far it has fallen flat maybe over time the songs will grow to a higher altitude of musical greatness but for now it’s just mediocre.

John Legend -Evolver Album Review

01. Good Morning (Intro)
02. Green Light (Ft. Andre 3000)
03. It’s Over (Ft. Kanye West)
04. Everybody Knows
05. Quickly (Ft. Brandy)
06. Cross The Line
07. No Other Love (Ft. Estelle)
08. This Time
09. Satisfaction
10. Take Me Away
11. Good Morning
12. I Love, You Love
13. If You’re Out There
14. Can’t Be My Lover (Bonus Track)
15. It’s Over (Teddy Riley Remix) (Bonus Track)

John legend has always gave us great music as well as so with this album. Evolver is a lot more upbeat than his 2006 release Once Again and that shows on the first single “Green Light” with Andre 3000. John has also other great collaborations on this record like on “It’s Over” with Kanye West “Quickly” with Brandy and “No Other Love” with Estelle.  On ballads like “This Time” and “I Love You Love” Just Shows his voice melting in your ears his vocal skill a undeniable. Evolver is a soulful groovy album which will have R&B fans loving John more.

T.I Paper Trail -Album Review

Before T.i sets off to prison for his weapon charges he got back last year. He gives us Paper Trail you may have herd half on the songs on here being that most of these tracks have leaked. The album got off to a great start with the release of the promo single “What I Got” where T.I recalls his career at his lyrical best. Paper Trail’s not a beefy as TI vs TIP evidence is on tracks like “Porn Star” and Top of The World feat Ludacris and B.O.B where both songs fall to be mediocre the beats have nothing much to them, but “Live your Life” “Swagga Like Us” which features the heavy weights Lil Wayne , Jay Z and Kanye West and What’s Up What’s Happinin make up for it. Everything put aside legal woes and all paper will be coming to hits pockets no matter what this is still one his best albums yet

Stand Out Tracks Are

My Life My Entertainment Feat Usher

Swagga Like Us feat Lil Wayne Kanye West and Jay Z

The Pussycat Dolls Doll -Domination Album Review

With the  lead Pussycat Nicole Sherzinger solo career not going the Way her record label plan another Pussycat Dolls record was to be made Doll Domination just so happen to be it. And it’s meek if anything this time around long time member Carmit Bachar is gone and the TV reality show the search for the next  doll winner Asia Nitollano leaving before she ever got to do anything with the band. The girls team up with high price producers Timbaland, Danja ,Pollow Da Fon and Darkchild as well as Stargate and Ne-Yo. I notice on this album you can actually hear the voices of the other members. Even on their own songs each member gets a solo song on a bonus disc which features a cover of jane Child’s 1990 hit don’t wanna fall in love by Kimberly Wyatt which is stellar.

But back to the main disc the best producer ever Timbaland bless this album with 5 tracks. All the beats are clean and easy on the ears, but the girls vocals sound quite odd. Is it that I’m not used to hearing the other girls sing or they really can’t sing. I Rather just hear Nicole now and the ad libs really annoy me, but there are some good moments on doll domination. The pollow da don produced “who’s gonna love you” which was originally for Nicole solo album Her Name is Nicole. The song gives the album a more funky urban taste while the the disgraced R. Kelly is featured on “out of this club” which also a good record the two main singles “when i grow up” and “what you think about that” sit well on this album. Along with “bottle pop” ,a my humps like brag song that is a club banger which features snoop dogg who was on what some think is there best song ever “buttons’.

If you’re a pcd fan you may love or hate this album there no sure guarantee than is going to go well on every ones ears. But either with a title Doll Domination they have a lot to live up to I’m not sure if thus does the trick Danity Kane’s Welcome to the Doll House is a lot better

get the album 9/23/08

Colby O’Donis -Corey O Album review

Colby O’Donis introduces himself the the music world with his debut Colby O and it has a lot of variety for the 19 year old Queens native. Someone who has already reach some success with his first single “what you got feat Akon, which reached #14 on the billboard charts and has potential to have more with this album. “Let You Go” just might be one of them on the Konvict produced track Colby accomplishes having a solid r&b ballad and with tracks like “sophisticated bad girl “and “natural high” feat T Pain will have something for the ones who like to hear the bump bump on the 808’s in the car while driving down the street on a Saturday afternoon. The second single “Don’t Turn Back” one of the best songs on the album will surely be at the top of the charts soon.  Colby anit no Chris brown but has his own style and an amazing voice seems like with this album this kid is going to do well.

stand out tracks are

 “Don’t Turn Back”

“Sophisticated Bad Girl”

“Hustle Man”

“Saved Your Money”

“Natural High” feat T Pain
